to explain or apologize...
i was re-reading my to be perfectly honest post and i suddenly became very concerned that it sounded a more than a little passive-aggressive and that my lovely friends might think bad things. so i thought i'd explain a couple of things that sounded, well, down right bitchy. here we go
i just felt that further explanation was needed because it really did sound awfully bitchy and i didn't want it to be misconstrued for anything else than it was--a pms extravaganza.
love y'all.
WAIT! I CAN NAME A DEATH CAB SONG! MOVIE SCRIPT ENDING!!!! YAY!!!!!!
oh wait, is that a Radiohead song?
crap.
death cab for cutie - i was being serious when i said that i couldn't name a song. it's not because i don't like them, but because i've never really paid attention. i've been stuck in my guns n' roses faze for about 3 years now so you can see how that might happen
bitching about the war - here's why i said that. that week for some strange reason i had 3 different people--complete strangers mind you--who felt the need to rant on me about it. i don't know if they thought that they were converting me to their cause or what, but if you are at a point where you are complaining loudly to perfect strangers then don't you think you should actually do something about it? The other issue is stupid news channel's panel shows that for some reason my father has on ALL OF THE TIME and since my office is still at my parents I have listen to it all freakin' day. everybody just says the same thing all of the time. after day 3 you want to kill yourself, it doesn't matter what the topic. that being said i think there is a big difference between hearing stuff from strangers and hearing stuff from friends. i like hearing my friends opinions because not only do i care to hear what they have to say, but because they are being genuine and informed and not self serving in their opinion.
the indie music thing - this was mainly a truthism about me. if i told you how much time i spent looking up obscure bands and downloading their music for the sole purpose of being able to hold my own against other music efficionados you'd probably hit me. it's embarrasing. and the truth is that i would rather listen to kelly clarkson most of the time. so when i said "you", i mainly ment "me" and when i said "who's got the time for it?" i meant "i like linkin' park much more than elbow"
nickelback - is that really the name of the band? i really don't know why that guy bugs me so badly but he really does. i have the same reaction to paris hilton, lindsay lohan, tom cruise, and the angry little peanut.
flav-a-flav - i'm serious, watch 10 minutes of flava of love and you'll understand why.

WHOA! i didn't realize you'd been blogging! i would've been reading. All this time i thought it was stuck on the pathetic little Frankfurt post.
>The sound of Mr. Nickleback's voice makes me scream. Not 'want to scream', SCREAM. And can someone please tell him it's NOT 1994 and give him a dang haircut?
>You'll not be shunned for your lack of devotion to Death Cab or indie music in general. The only reason i love DCFC is because they fell into my lap and nothing better fell for a while. Right now it's Damien Rice.
>Bush-bashing and war-bashing is trendy right now. People film themselves walking around liberal crowds and getting soundbytes and calling it 'cutting edge' when it's just a trend. Come on. When HASN'T it been considered cool to insult the sitting president and his policies? Would SNL exist if it weren't?
>You're wrong about Flav. i like horrible reality tv as much as the next person, but draw the line somewhere, Whit. Watch Bondauce self-destruct instead.
